Claude for Office uses Anthropic-compatible requests. Configure its custom API endpoint to ModRouter’s /anthropic integration.

Setup

  1. Open the Claude for Office API or custom endpoint settings.
  2. Set Base URL to your ModRouter /anthropic endpoint.
  3. Set API Key to a ModRouter virtual key, or to the key your deployment expects.
  4. Choose a Claude model name, or a ModRouter model ID if the add-in accepts custom model names.

  • Use ModRouter routing rules if the add-in only allows fixed Claude model names.
  • Office workflows often involve long documents, so choose models and provider limits that fit your document sizes.
  • If governance is enabled, use a virtual key per user, team, or deployment environment.
